Bespoke celebration cakes and unforgettable cake decorating experiences — where creativity, cocktails, and good company collide.
I learned to bake beside my mum — standing on a chair just to reach the counter, sneaking tastes of icing, and feeling like the kitchen was the most magical place in the world. Baking became my happy place, my way of showing love, and over time, my way of grounding myself through life's ups and downs.
When my daughter Izabella-Rayne came into the world, that love came back in a whole new way. Izzy doesn't have a huge sweet tooth, but she adores cake. Our weekend tea parties became our little tradition — messy, playful, full of crumbs and laughter. Watching her joy in those tiny, honest moments reminded me of everything that matters.
This dream has been growing in my heart for the past four years. Belarains isn't just a cake business — it's a space to connect, to express yourself, and to celebrate the beauty in doing something by hand. Every order, every event, every slice is made with that same spirit.

The name Belarains is close to my heart — it's a quiet tribute to my daughter Izabella-Rayne, and to everything she's taught me about what matters. The messy tea parties, the crumbs, the laughter. The joy of something made slowly, by hand, with love.
We specialise in bespoke celebration cakes for weddings, milestone birthdays, baby showers, and christenings — as well as intimate cake decorating events where groups come together to learn, laugh, and create something they're genuinely proud of.
"This workshop isn't just about decorating cakes — it's about creating space to connect, to express yourself, and to celebrate the beauty in doing something by hand."
This is not your average night out. Belarains' Cake Decorating Events are intimate, beautifully styled evenings where you and your favourite people come together to learn the art of cake decorating — with a cocktail in hand and canapes on the table.
Liz leads every session personally, guiding you through techniques that look impressive but are completely achievable — even if you've never picked up a piping bag in your life. You'll leave with a cake you decorated yourself, memories you'll actually want to keep, and at least one new appreciation for buttercream.
Here's a glimpse into what that conversation can become.
I recommend booking 4–6 weeks ahead for celebration cakes, and 3–6 months for weddings.

"Liz made our wedding cake and it was the most complimented thing at the entire reception. Three months later people are still talking about it."
"Booked the hen do event for my best friend and it was genuinely the best decision. We laughed from start to finish. The cocktails were amazing and everyone left with a cake they were obsessed with."
"I gave Liz a very vague brief and she came back with something more perfect than I could have imagined. My mum's 60th birthday cake had everyone in tears — in the best way."
